The WISDOM (Walisongo Indonesia Sustainable Development, Outreach, and Multiculturalism) Programme is UIN Walisongo Semarang’s flagship international programme, designed to provide participants with a transformative academic and cultural experience that promotes global citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable development. The programme brings together students, academics, and professionals from around the world to explore Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage, religious diversity, and commitment to sustainable and inclusive development.

Through an interdisciplinary learning approach, WISDOM combines classroom instruction, expert lectures, field studies, community engagement, and cultural immersion. Participants gain first-hand experience in Indonesia’s diverse social, religious, and environmental contexts while examining contemporary global issues through the perspectives of sustainability, multiculturalism, and the Unity of Sciences—UIN Walisongo’s distinctive academic paradigm.

The programme offers a comprehensive curriculum covering topics such as Indonesian culture and society, religious moderation, sustainable development, environmental stewardship, intercultural communication, community empowerment, and Islamic perspectives on global challenges. Interactive workshops, educational visits, and collaborative projects enable participants to connect academic knowledge with real-world practices and build meaningful international networks.
